Electric Wheelchairs

 by: Armen Hareyan

When you search online for Electric Wheelchairs, like any other things, you will face a situation, where you will need to choose a provider out of so many companies that offer the service. The search engines will bring you thousands and thousands of results when you type the phrase Electric Wheelchairs. Which vendor or provider to choose? It is important that you make an informed decision.

Things to look for when choosing an Electric Wheelchair:

First, it is good to check the companys track record and make sure that the company, which provider Electric Wheelchairs is a very good company to do business with. When I buy big-ticket product from a company that I dont know of, I always check the companys record with the Better Business Bureau. You can do that by going to www.bbb.org .

While large companies may offer a great service, our experience has been that with the smaller or midsize companies you get a more personalized attention. For example an unknown company such as Jaki Med, based in Charlotte, NC, (Tel. 866.569-7877, they also provide other related supplies) may offer a better service than a large company who will run continuous ads on your TV screen. Why, because you get a personalized service, and a small company will try to do a better job to put a good word out there about its services. Read the rest of this entry »

Chairs - History Part III

September 7th, 2008 . by admin

In this next article in our continuing history of chairs we’re going to pick up with Chinese chairs.

There is not much known about ancient Chinese chairs. What we do know is that during the Tang dynasty, which was from 618 to 907 AD, higher seats started to appear among the Chinese elite and then soon spread to the more common people of China. By the 12th century, sitting on the floor, which at one time was what every Chinese person did, was becoming less common even though in other Asian countries the custom of sitting on the floor continued.

We then move on to the Renaissance period. In Europe especially, it is because of the Renaissance period that the chair became a symbol of authority in the European State. It became custom that the only people who had chairs were those of authority or royalty or those who could simply afford them as they were very expensive. However, once the idea of privilege faded away, the chair became more common in everyone’s household.

Once chairs started to be manufactured for common people it was immediately noticeable that the chairs themselves reflected the fashions of the times. Over the course of the Renaissance period chairs have varied in size, shape and sturdiness. They were fashioned not only after women’s dress but after men’s as well. The chair itself started to become too monstrous with many of the items they were adorned with and soon these items started to disappear in order to make the chair more functional. Furniture For Baby

September 1st, 2008 . by admin

It?s not unusual to get more than is bargained for when purchasing baby furniture sets. Most furniture stores or stores specifically for children’s furniture are usually a good place to find a well-priced set. When most people think about a set they’re likely to picture a pair. However, in the case of baby furniture most sets come with three or more pieces. Most collections include at least five pieces of baby furniture even though some pieces aren’t considered part of the set.

The most common pieces included in baby furniture sets are a dresser and a crib. Typically both will be very beautiful, with most sets being wood construction. If preferred, it may be possible to find a metal crib with a wooden dresser.

Bigger sets will most likely include a changing table with the crib and dresser. These sets usually cost a bit more, but they actually represent significant savings. An armoire or a nightstand may be included in larger sets. The more pieces a set includes, the more it’s going to cost but the set itself may be more valuable than the increase in price suggests.
